Air America, Jones Team On National Sales

The self-described progressive Talk radio network joins forces with Jones MediaAmerica for national sales representation. Air America is home to such hosts as Al Franken, Janeane Garofolo and Randi Rhodes. Jones VP/Advertising Sales & Marketing Susan Love says, "We are thrilled that Air America Radio has entrusted Jones with their advertising sales." Love says Jones has a tremendous track record of building brands and expects the same results with Air America Radio. Air America Radio CEO Doug Kreeger says the partnership with JMA should improve his network's ability to connect advertisers with affiliates across the country.

Jones is a syndicator that produces Ed Schultz and Stephanie Miller, who are on several stations that air AAR programming. This looks like a win-win situation for both parties, as it unites and beefs up the two biggest players in liberal talk radio. AAR will still be a separate entity, but it just contracts with Jones for ad sales. This also brings more money in for AAR, which will help in it's continued success.
